Plans to ban Khat, a stimulant popular among Yemeni and Somali communities, have been approved by the House of Lords on 12 May 2014.
Despite cross-party criticism, the government’s Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) (No.2) Order 2014 – which will re-grade the drug as a class-C drug – passed without a vote.

i am glad thersa may has made a good decition on banning this drug if i knew and had read this articles i would have vote a conservative goverment those kenyens farmers god(allah) is still there and who knows you might get better income and better life on your farms. as you have said that ,if uk ban khat that is it ou life ends.
